"Fantasie haben heißt nicht, sich etwas auszudenken, es heißt, sich aus den Dingen etwas zu machen.

Science to Business

Science to Business is a strategic approach based on the general principles of marketing which enables academia and industry to make ‘business out of science’. Each participant in the Science to Business chain; academic, industry and governmental organisations, can benefit from a strategic approach towards innovation. It is about the valorisation of knowledge and applying scientific results and findings. Science to Business is about creating value for all participants in scientific, commercial and societal context.

Science to Business Criteria

For evaluation or formulation of strategy for successful Science to Business, BBD has developed nine criteria. These criteria are the basis of the Science to Business process.

  •          Deliverables, targets and results
  •          Epistemic (IPR)
  •          Technology
  •          Finance
  •          Strategy
  •          Organisation and culture
  •          Politics
  •          Relation and other soft factors

The philosophy of Science to Business finds its basis in these criteria. The criteria have grown to become more than motivational aspects for the participants. They are used as the basis of the analysis we perform in our consultancy work, they are the basis of our services in strategy development, marketing and sales.
